...We made it across Azerbaijan with no detailed maps, using only a Collins Mini World Atlas (thanks for making us take that, Vanessa) and a compass. We're in Baku about to head to the port to see when the next ferry to Turkmenistan is.

Have often found that lack of knowledge has not hindered progress! A lot depends on intuition.You are really making good progress. Are you still in convoy?

As per new post, we're not on our way across the sea yet. Still, it has given us some time to chill out and not be moving all day.
Mum & Dad, I'm eating fairly well. When we're on the move it tends to be bread based snacks. Last night we had a proper meal in "Cafe Mozart" and a few pints in an Irish bar.
We would text the rally site those location details, but it seems like a waste of money to send to 2 places and this site has more functionality. You'll have to keep on looking us up in the atlas I'm afraid.
